Diaper rash is also another form of contact dermatitis that affects most of the infants wearing diapers due to prolonged contact of feces and urine with the skin.
This generally develops with exposure to various latex products like surgical gloves and balloons etc. Like other types of skin allergy, this also causes hives, running nose and some individuals also experience wheezing, chest congestion coupled with breathing difficulties. The symptoms may start within even and in some cases severe asthmatic are found to be caused due to tiny airborne powders from the latex products. These are almost eliminated as most of the health care centers are now using nonlatex or low protein latex gloves.
